Julie Holliday started her business, Beautiful Life Senior Relocation Services in September 2017!
After owning her own Mary Kay business for 13 years, and then holding various roles in the non-profit world, Julie knew she loved being a small business owner and making a difference in the lives of others by filling their unmet needs.
As a result, Julie has found an increasing need to help seniors as they move out of their home and into an assisted living environment. Downsizing and moving is very stressful, and some of these seniors do not have a caregiver or an adult child that lives nearby to help. As a result, Beautiful Life Senior Relocation Services “helps seniors with a personalized action plan and caring, professional in-home assistance” in addition to providing “help with decisions on what to move, take care of packing and unpacking, hire the mover and oversee all the details of the entire move process.”
Julie shares that although she received training from other industry-specific associations as she opened her business, Katelyn Hill and Vern Veal (my SCORE mentor) have provided encouragement as well as practical tips and insights. I appreciate that each time we meet I leave with action items to accomplish by our next meeting. This keeps me moving towards my goals and provides the accountability that is missing when you are a solo entrepreneur.”
