With nine years of experience in the automotive industry, Olga and Raul Vazquez are proud to share their journey as a family-owned business in the Bloomington-Normal community.

Their story began at Vazquez Auto Sales, their first location, born from a deep passion for working on and maintaining their own vehicles. What started as a personal interest soon evolved into a growing enterprise. “As owners, we drive every single vehicle—we know the history behind each one,” Raul says. “Being a family-owned business has made customers feel more comfortable with us compared to larger, commercial dealerships.”

As their dealership flourished, loyal customers began turning to the Vazquezes for trusted referrals on where to get their cars serviced. Recognizing this unmet need, they expanded their business by opening Vazquez Auto & Tire Inc. in Normal. This second location offers full-service auto repairs, staying true to their commitment to quality and trustworthiness.

The couple first heard about the Small Business Development Center (SBDC) through friends and community members. “We thought it would be a great place to start for marketing support—and it was!” Olga shares. “They’ve helped us tremendously with advertising and marketing equipment.”

Their journey is a testament to the power of dedication, community connection, and strategic support. Olga and Raul continue to grow their trusted brand—rooted in family values and driven by a love for helping others stay on the road safely.

Olga and Raul’s story shows how passion, hard work, and community support can drive a business forward. From selling cars to opening a full-service shop, they’ve built a trusted family-owned brand—one that continues to grow with help from the SBDC and the local community.
