Sarah Gliege

Assistant Director

We are very happy to introduce SBDC’s new Assistant Director, Sarah Gliege. As a lifelong Bloomington- Normal resident, Sarah is well-versed in the small business and nonprofit network within the BN community and has an unyielding commitment to their success as they are the lifeblood to a vibrant, thriving community.

Sarah earned a B.S. from Illinois State University in Political Science and then a Master’s degree from DePaul University in Nonprofit Management with an emphasis in grant writing, fundraising, public relations, and board development.

Since 2008, Sarah has worked for various nonprofits in Bloomington-Normal, including the Child Protection Network, Illinois Heart & Lung Foundation, ABC Counseling, and the Boys & Girls Club of Bloomington-Normal.

Sarah specializes in strategic and succession planning while building relationships and connecting people with common interests across multiple sectors. In her role as a grant writer, Sarah has honed her ability to research issues and markets, identify goals and objectives, and develop and implement programs.

Sarah lives in Bloomington with her husband and their two children. She begins her next career chapter on August 2 with the Illinois SBDC of McLean County at Illinois Wesleyan University.
