About the Event

Many people who become small business owners do so because they are passionate about their craft or industry. By expanding your awareness of how money works in business, you can increase the odds of being successful.

Join us to learn, or brush up on the fundamental financial concepts for running your small business, including creating a budget, financial projections, E-Commerce transactions, market research, fixed and variable expenses, and the importance of working capital.

Presenter

Scot Dixon graduated from the University of Illinois, where he received his degree in Agricultural Economics with a focus on Accounting. Scott began working for a small community bank in Illinois, which was only the beginning of his 40+ year career in all aspects of banking and business management. He later moved on to larger banks, where he was primarily lending to medium-sized businesses for everything from inventor and working capital loans to real estate and equipment. Scott has valuable experience understanding how lending prudently could help clients successfully achieve their needs and goals.
