Kendall Sosa

Fall 2020 Intern

Kendall Sosa is a senior at Illinois Wesleyan University, and in her second semester as a SBDC intern.

Kendall chose her Marketing major with a minor in Graphic Design because she is passionate about creativity and communicating with other people. Her ideal career would involve design production. Kendall first learned of the SBDC through her design and marketing classes at IWU when she was able to create a logo for one small business and a marketing plan for another, and she was interested in more opportunities to work with small business owners on creative projects.

Now in her second internship with the SBDC, Kendall has learned a lot through the many interactions she's had with small business owners. "I loved hearing how passionate and resourceful small business owners are to remain successful during the current pandemic," she shares. As the project manager for the SBDC's website this fall, she enjoys redesigning and organizing our pages and content. Plus she is excited to work with a client on creating a new website from scratch. Since the summer, Kendall has also sharpened her skills in social media and communication when she managed the SBDC's social media platforms as well as assisted a client with a social media strategy. She has discovered a new skill and passion for writing which fits nicely with her overarching three passions in life of serving others, being creative, and staying active.

Contrary to what her IWU Basketball bio says, Kendall does more in her free time than eat. However, she is always up for a delicious meal. She also loves spending time with friends and family, going for a bike ride, playing basketball of course, or making random designs. She's very proud to be part of the IWU Women's Basketball team that has gone to the NCAA tournament for the past three years. Go Titans!
